So I may be falling pray to the Apple App store but I just bought a new app called OmmWriter. As Word for mac and Pages both seem really clunky, I was looking for a simple tool for free writing and blog posts. OmmWriter caught my eye instantly. At $4.99 it just squeezes into the impulse buy category and has some cool features.

OmmWriter was created to provide a focused writtting experience. When launched it takes over your full screen, providing you with a selection of backdrops to your digital page. You can then select form a variety of sound scapes, including unique sounds for your keystokes and background music. Once you have finished writting you can save your file as TXT, PDF or RTF.

OmmWriter may be a gimmic, but it’s one I like.
